Addison Kim

Addison Kim is an emerging Asian American artist whose practice centers on portraiture and the exploration of identity and social dynamics through careful composition and attention to detail. Her work reflects a sensitivity to presence and observation, shaped by her experience balancing rigorous academics with a committed creative practice.

Her work aligns with Neo-Emotionalism through its focus on the figure as a site of psychological and social inquiry. Rather than overt narrative, her portraits invite quiet reflection, allowing viewers to consider the nuances of identity and the layered nature of individual experience.

Kim has exhibited work in Sight and Insight at March April Studios, where she presented pieces exploring color theory and collaborative process. She continues to develop her practice through her studies in visual arts at Harvard-Westlake School, refining her approach to composition, technique, and narrative.

She lives and works in Los Angeles.
