Liana Gor

Liana Gor is a Los Angeles based artist whose work explores emotional states that exist beyond language. Through figurative forms, fractured lines, and layered surfaces, she creates images that balance vulnerability with quiet strength, where the human figure becomes “a vessel for introspection, suspended between stillness and transformation.”

Her compositions are marked by recurring symbolic elements such as birds, drifting forms, and subtle textures that suggest freedom, transition, and inner awakening. The use of gold and luminous tones introduces a timeless atmosphere, allowing figures to emerge from light, memory, and silence. As she describes, “my work explores the space between movement and stillness, where emotion lingers beyond the visible moment.”

Rather than illustrating narrative, Gor’s paintings open into intimate emotional spaces. Each work functions as a suspended moment in which fragility, resilience, and contemplation coexist, inviting viewers to engage with their own internal states.

Her practice aligns with Neo Emotionalism through its emphasis on the emotional presence of the figure and the invisible psychological forces that shape it. Through a language of fragmentation, symbolism, and light, Gor creates contemplative environments where emotion is experienced directly, beyond explanation.

She lives and works in Los Angeles.
